In May 2023, this case study began with a moving company Google Ads campaign we launched for Double Move. They found us through reviews on industry forums and came looking for help with Google Ads, Local Services Ads, and Google Maps. At that time, they had nothing but a lonely Thumbtack profile and were struggling to get consistent leads, which means we achieved these results nearly from scratch!

We set up a clear and straightforward system to track the sources of inquiries and calls. This allows us to see what needs to be turned off and where to increase the budget. We can identify which keyword generated an inquiry or call and how much profit it brought in

One Important Note:

We only count qualified calls over 1 minute. Calls shorter than a minute are excluded to train Google's algorithms to avoid those seeking jobs, wanting to move just one sofa, etc. Therefore, our cost per lead might look slightly intimidating, but we don't waste money on unqualified leads. Our conversion rate to booking is 40%.

In just one year, we achieved these impressive results and a strong return on investment, all while working with a relatively limited marketing budget. 

Last year, we didn’t have time to prepare for the busy season, but by the 2024 season, we were fully ready and completed 114 jobs in June 2024 alone!
